This Big Box Store Firefighting Strategies & Tactics course consists of 1 evening lecture and 1 day of Hands-On Training (with optional 2nd Hands-On day). The course covers strategies and tactics of Big Box Stores. Topics include but are not limited to Engine Company operations regarding fire attack and extinguishment, line selection, line placement, crew responsibilities, and utilizing fire suppression systems. We also include Truck Company operations such as forcible entry in multiple types of doors and windows, ventilation, and large area search techniques.
The interactive lecture portion of this course can be done as a stand-alone drill and includes situational awareness for the Incident Commander, Company Officer, and line firefighters. Other topics include building construction, suppression systems, safety and survival techniques, and in-depth coverage of strategy and tactics for Big Box Store fires. Additional topics can be added per your specifications or department needs.

This original On Scene Training Associates hands-on training class provides students the needed skills for successful operations at commercial building fires. Special concerns for Big Box Stores, local shops and taxpayers, warehouses, industrial facilities, and office complexes are addressed.
